ABSALON AND FULCRUM: WORLD CHAMPIONS!
Julien Absalon conquers his fourth world title in a row.
Fulcrum is once again World Champion in its debut year.
Julien Absalon wins the Elite XC World Championships at Fort William, in Scotland. This was a victory that the Orbea rider had tenaciously pursued as he confirmed at the press conference: "The main aim this season was to hold onto the rainbow jersey". Julien had announced several times that he wished to conquer all the world championships from the Athens Olympics to those in Beijing and, so as not to leave anything to chance, he seems to have prepared himself for this race even more scrupulously than usual. Mission accomplished! With this victory, moreover, Julien has become the first athlete in the history of Cross Country to win four world championships in a row.
This has been an astonishing season for this French athlete who adds the World Cup to his world title for the second season in a row with a race in hand, as well as the French Championship. These results bring joy to the Italian brand, Fulcrum, in its debut in the off-road world, repeating what has already happened in the racing bike world where it won the rainbow jersey with Tom Boonen in its first year. From this year Fulcrum is the official supplier of wheels for the Orbea team which has raced with the Red Metal Zero Disc model for the entire season. The Fulcrum Off-road wheel range will finally be available in the shops from October next.
At this point it is certain that Fulcrum brings good luck, but is this the only secret of such success?
